country on Thursday, May 14, 2026, as part of routine maintenance and network improvement works.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"235\" data-end=\"489\">According to the utility firm, the scheduled outages will impact parts of Nairobi, Kiambu, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Nakuru, Uasin Gishu, Kilifi, and Kwale counties, with most areas expected to experience electricity interruptions between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"dd6slc\" data-start=\"493\" data-end=\"519\">Nairobi areas affected<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"521\" data-end=\"655\">In the Nairobi Region, parts of South B and the Railway Training Institute area will experience power cuts from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"659\" data-end=\"1012\">Areas listed include Comply Industries, South B Chiefs\u2019 Camp, South B Total Petrol Station, NHIF Houses, South B Mosque, Bondo Road, Kariba, Riverbank Estate, sections of Mariakani Estate, Hazina Estates, Plainsview Estate, Parkside View Estate, ACK St Veronica Catholic Church, Golden Gate Estate, Railway Training Institute, and surrounding customers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1016\" data-end=\"1303\">In Karen, the interruption will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. affecting Karen The Hub, Tree Lane, Windy Ridge, Karen Police Station, Shell Karen, Miotoni West, World Vision, Karen Lane, Nandi Road, Montessori Centre, St Christopher\u2019s School, Dari Wildlife Foundation, and nearby areas.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1307\" data-end=\"1488\">Parts of Spring Valley, including Thigiri Ridge Road, Thigiri Close, Thigiri Crescent, Thigiri Gardens, and Durham International School, will also be affected during the same hours.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"cxz69o\" data-start=\"1492\" data-end=\"1530\">Mt Kenya and Central Kenya regions<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"1532\" data-end=\"1646\">In Kirinyaga County, outages are expected around Kibingoti Market and Kibirigwi Market from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1650\" data-end=\"1830\">Areas affected include Njukiini Stage, Kiangwaci Market, Ndia Technical, Kiine Girls, Daybert Academy, Kianjege West, Fred\u2019s Grammar, Mitondo Coffee Factory, and adjacent villages.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1834\" data-end=\"2000\">In Nyeri County, areas around Endarasha Market, Charo, Uasonyiro, Mairo, Endarasha Secondary School, Watuka Market, and nearby locations will also experience outages.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1gzkjo9\" data-start=\"2004\" data-end=\"2035\">Kiambu County interruptions<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2037\" data-end=\"2144\">In Kiambu County, parts of Ruiru Kimbo and Murera Coffee areas will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2148\" data-end=\"2417\">The interruption will impact Murera Kimbo, Mugutha, Ruiru KU Model School, GSU Ruiru, Spur Mall, Ruiru Golf Club, Mona Park, Mulberry, Green Ridge, Mugutha Secondary School, St Martins Catholic Church, Judea Estate, Ruera Dam, Makaburi Village, and surrounding estates.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2421\" data-end=\"2647\">Other affected Kiambu areas include Ondiri and Mugumoini, where places such as Connix Industry, Ondiri Academy, Ondiri Police Station, KARI Muguga, KETRI, Kamangu, and Runana will be without electricity during the same period.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"a0o53q\" data-start=\"2651\" data-end=\"2684\">Nakuru and North Rift regions<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"2686\" data-end=\"2790\">In Nakuru County, the entire Kayole A area is scheduled for interruption between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2794\" data-end=\"2945\">Areas affected include Sanel Mall, Newstead Hotel, Keroche Breweries, Karai, Warranna Saw Millers, Kinungi, Bonanza, Soweto, and surrounding customers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2949\" data-end=\"3114\">Meanwhile, in Uasin Gishu County, areas such as Mobet, Tarakwa, Chemororoch, Mukunga, Sachangwan, and Cheplachbei will experience outages from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n<h3 data-section-id=\"1u8a4ok\" data-start=\"3118\" data-end=\"3134\">Coast region<\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"3136\" data-end=\"3303\">In Kilifi County, parts of Marafa will be affected from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., including Bomani, KBC, Marikebuni, Garashi, Wakala, GIS, Shomela, and nearby customers.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3307\" data-end=\"3436\">In Kwale County, areas around Maji ya Chumvi and Samburu will also experience planned power interruptions during the same period.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3440\" data-end=\"3593\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Kenya Power stated that the
