Marya Prude, the first ex-wife of media personality Willis Raburu, has disclosed that her public reaction to his recent separation from Ivy Namu cost her a lucrative influencer job.<\/p>\n
Following the news that Raburu and Namu had parted ways\u2014a relationship that began immediately after Raburu\u2019s split from Marya\u2014Marya posted a cryptic video online. While many netizens interpreted the post as her celebrating her ex-husband’s crumbled relationship, Marya maintains she was simply expressing herself and feeling vindicated.<\/p>\n
In a video shared on her TikTok page, Marya explained that a mental health non-governmental organization (NGO) had shortlisted her for an ambassadorial role but ultimately dropped her over the controversial post.<\/p>\n
\n“One of my very close friends sent me a screenshot of this ‘mental health’ NGO saying that they were considering me for an influencer job… But they will not consider me because what I posted yesterday was me being a bully,” Marya explained.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
The rejection prompted her to reflect on how society polices self-expression. She noted that in the past, she suppressed her feelings to avoid looking like she was complaining. Now, she questions why embracing her self-expression is being labeled as bullying.<\/p>\n

Marya pushed back against critics who claimed the video was proof she had not healed from her divorce. According to Marya, Raburu and Namu’s split was not a shock to her, insinuating she knew the relationship was not going to last.<\/p>\n
