Comedian and media personality Dr Ofweneke has publicly apologised to musician Stevo Simple Boy following backlash over a controversial episode of his digital show, Lessons at 30<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The host visited Stevo in person over the weekend in an effort to clear the air and repair their relationship after an episode featuring content creator Andrew Kibe sparked widespread criticism online.<\/p>\n

During the interview, Kibe made comments about Stevo\u2019s appearance, including remarks suggesting that the musician should not have children. The comments drew criticism from many Kenyans, with some viewers also questioning Ofweneke\u2019s reaction during the discussion.<\/p>\n

Following the backlash, Ofweneke removed the episode from his platforms.<\/p>\n

A Personal Apology<\/h3>\n

In an effort to address the situation, Ofweneke met Stevo Simple Boy face-to-face and apologised for the incident.<\/p>\n

The comedian described the visit as a moment of humility and accountability, saying the two have shared a professional relationship for years.<\/p>\n

Explaining his reaction during the podcast, Ofweneke said his laughter was not meant to mock Stevo.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe laughter was not intentional,\u201d he explained.<\/p>\n

He added that the reaction was simply a reflex and admitted that, as someone who considers Stevo a brother, it should not have happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe laughter was a reflex action. I actually do regret that as a brother that should not have happened,\u201d Ofweneke said.<\/p>\n

Looking Beyond Appearance<\/h3>\n

Ofweneke said the controversy reminded him of the importance of focusing on a person\u2019s character and contribution rather than their physical appearance.<\/p>\n

He told Stevo that success and value are not determined by looks.<\/p>\n

\u201cLife is not a beauty contest. Nobody cares about how you look. We all care about the work that you bring into people’s lives,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

The comedian added that he would continue supporting Stevo, saying the situation had become a lesson for both of them.<\/p>\n

\u201cI will stand by you even more now because God had a reason to help us,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Moving Forward<\/h3>\n

Ofweneke confirmed that the controversial episode had been permanently removed and said he intends to invite Stevo Simple Boy for a future appearance on Lessons at 30<\/em> so that the musician can share his own story.<\/p>\n

He also acknowledged the role played by fans who criticised him, saying their feedback helped him reflect on the situation.<\/p>\n

The two appeared to have reconciled, with Ofweneke pledging continued support for Stevo and his family.<\/p>\n
