Kenyan entertainer Samuel Muraya, popularly known as DJ Mo, has shared his surprise after encountering unusually high Uber charges while in the United States.<\/p>\n

The DJ, who is currently in Boston ahead of a major performance, posted a screenshot of his Uber fare options on Instagram, revealing transport prices that were far above what many Kenyans are accustomed to.<\/p>\n

A Pricey Ride Across Boston<\/strong><\/p>\n

According to the screenshot, an UberX ride was going for $108.93, while an UberXL option was listed at $113.98 (approximately KSh14,755).<\/p>\n

Other options were even more expensive, with a Comfort ride costing $116.99 (around KSh15,145), while the premium UberXXL option reached $134.98. The Pet option, designed for passengers travelling with animals, was also priced at $112.93.<\/p>\n

The figures appeared to catch DJ Mo by surprise, especially when compared with local transport costs in Kenya.<\/p>\n

Reacting to the prices, the entertainer jokingly avoided converting the amount into Kenyan shillings, writing:<\/p>\n

\u201cYaani let me not convert this to Ksh 😂🤤.\u201d<\/p>\n

Preparing for Boston Performance<\/strong><\/p>\n

DJ Mo travelled to Boston ahead of the upcoming Millennials Party Mugithi Experience, a highly anticipated event targeting the Kenyan Agikuyu diaspora.<\/p>\n

The show is scheduled for July 4, coinciding with celebrations marking the United States Independence Day.<\/p>\n

The entertainer hinted that the event would be a memorable experience, while also joking about his unexpected encounter with American transport costs.<\/p>\n
