Kenyan filmmaker and digital storyteller Abel Mutua has revealed that he was forced to remove one of his popular storytelling episodes after receiving a legal demand letter connected to India\u2019s wealthy Ambani family.<\/p>\n
Mutua said the letter came after he shared a Swahili narration about two Ambani brothers, a story that explored their different paths in business and wealth.<\/p>\n
According to the content creator, the episode discussed how one of the brothers rose to become one of the world\u2019s richest businessmen, while the other allegedly struggled after failing to manage inherited business interests effectively.<\/p>\n
Legal Pressure Forces Episode Removal<\/strong><\/p>\n Speaking about the incident, Mutua claimed that the brother featured in the story accused him of defamation and argued that the narration had harmed his reputation.<\/p>\n \u201cI received a demand letter and had to pull down the episode because I could not afford such a legal battle,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n The filmmaker explained that taking on a lawsuit against someone with significant financial resources was not a risk he was willing to take. Instead, he decided to remove the episode to avoid a costly and lengthy legal process.<\/p>\n Despite the seriousness of the matter, Mutua ended his account with humour, questioning how a story told entirely in Kiswahili reached the businessman.<\/p>\n \u201cI always tell my stories in Swahili.
