Salvation Healing Ministry founder Pastor Victor Kanyari has sparked debate after cautioning women against dating and financially supporting younger men, commonly referred to as \u201cBen 10s.\u201d<\/p>\n
Speaking during his Wednesday, July 1, 2026, midweek service, the televangelist urged women to be cautious about relationships with younger partners whom he claimed rely heavily on older women for financial support.<\/p>\n
Kanyari criticised what he described as a growing trend where some women pay their younger partners\u2019 rent, provide food and take responsibility for most household expenses.<\/p>\n
\u201cWomen, please stop obsessing over these flashy men who you see wearing good clothes and mostly jeans,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The preacher also questioned why some women are attracted to younger men who change their appearance through skin bleaching, arguing that appearance should not be the main basis for choosing a partner.<\/p>\n
\u201cThose men who also like to bleach their skins so they can become brown and men who only you will be providing for\u2026 you women doing that, know you have a big problem,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
Concerns Over Financial Dependence<\/strong><\/p>\n Kanyari questioned why some women willingly take on the financial burden of relationships by paying for everything.<\/p>\n \u201cHow can you pay for a house for a man? And you even pay for the food that will be eaten in that house?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n He further claimed that some men who are financially dependent on their partners could later become a source of problems.<\/p>\n \u201cMy warning is that those kinds of men are the ones who end up killing people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n Comments on Beauty Standards<\/strong><\/p>\n The preacher also raised concerns about what he described as a preference among some women for lighter-skinned men.<\/p>\n \u201cAnd one thing I also don\u2019t understand: why are women always obsessed with light-skinned men? What do they have?\u201d he questioned.<\/p>\n Kanyari encouraged people to embrace their natural appearance and criticised attempts to change one\u2019s skin colour to fit certain beauty ideals.<\/p>\n \u201cWe are Africans. That\u2019s why I don\u2019t want such soft behaviours. We are black colours,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n He concluded by dismissing relationships involving older women and much younger men, saying he did not see the value in such arrangements.<\/p>\n \u201cSo those things to do with women having Ben 10s is a waste.
