TV host and endometriosis awareness advocate Natalie Githinji has once again opened up about her experience living with endometriosis, describing the condition as her “worst nightmare” while expressing hope that greater awareness will improve treatment and support for women affected by the disease.<\/p>\n

In an emotional social media post shared on Monday, July 6, 2026, Natalie said living with endometriosis has been one of the toughest challenges she has faced. Despite the daily struggles, she remains optimistic that advances in research and treatment will one day make the condition easier to manage.<\/p>\n

\n

“Endo is my worst nightmare ata sitawadanganya!” Natalie wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

\n

“We might not be cured, but at least tutapata a way to manage and live with it, hoping that one day God ata come through!”<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Calls for more awareness<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

The media personality said she believes growing public awareness about endometriosis will lead to greater understanding, encourage more research and ultimately improve care for women living with the condition.<\/p>\n

Natalie stressed that her message goes beyond her own experience, saying she hopes it inspires conversations that will benefit thousands of other women battling the disease.<\/p>\n

“This is not about me\u2026 I feel like finally endometriosis will be defeated, if not cured, because everybody will finally know about endometriosis and learn about it, and doctors watakazana kutusaidia to manage endo, and this here is a win for endo warriors!” she added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Natalie recounts painful flare-up<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Her latest remarks come just hours after she shared details of a painful endometriosis flare-up she experienced while visiting fellow media personality Laura Mbatha.<\/p>\n

Natalie explained that flare-ups can strike unexpectedly, even when someone is not menstruating, highlighting the unpredictable nature of the condition.<\/p>\n

“An endo flare-up can happen even if you are not menstruating. This happened to me jana nikiwa kwa @mbatha_laura, and I think I might have traumatised my girl, tbh. Pole babe, but it happens. It comes at any time and any place,” she wrote.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She said the pain can become so severe that it temporarily leaves sufferers unable to function, even though the episode may only last a few minutes.<\/p>\n

‘People think you’re seeking attention’<\/strong><\/span><\/h3>\n

Natalie also spoke about the emotional toll of living with endometriosis, noting that because flare-ups often pass quickly, some people wrongly assume those experiencing them are exaggerating or seeking attention.<\/p>\n

“It can embarrass you mbele ya watu because it comes off as ‘attention seeking,’ but honestly, it’s not. It took me maybe five to 10 minutes, but it felt like the longest time of my life,” she said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

She praised Laura Mbatha for remaining calm and supportive throughout the episode, saying her patience made the difficult experience easier to endure.<\/p>\n

“I was so mad at myself for letting her see that side of Endo, but you can’t control this monster. I thank God she was so patient, didn’t panic and gave me the space I needed. Thanks to you, my love. You did so well,” Natalie added.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
