Yvonne Wamalwa died while undergoing treatment at Nanyuki Cottage Hospital. She had moved to Nanyuki to stay with her sister who was taking care of her.<\/p>\n

The wife to former vice president Kijana Wamalwa had be ailing since October 2017. Yvonne was staying with her sister Stephanie Muite at Ichuga in the outskirts of Nanyuki town.<\/p>\n

Stephanie Muite has since narrated her sister’s last moments before she passed on. She said her conditioned worsened on Thursday morning while she was at home with her.<\/p>\n

No specific ailment<\/h5>\n

Ms Muite however did not specify the nature of her sister’s ailment. She said Yvonne Wamalwa was rushed to Nanyuki Cottage Hospital where she died.<\/p>\n

“We have been staying with Yvonne at my home at Ichuga Village since October last year and she has been [going to] Outspan Hospital in Nyeri Town for treatment. This morning her conditioned worsened and she passed on at Nanyuki Cottage Hospital,” said\u00a0Stephanie Muite.<\/p>\n

Yvonne’s body remained at the hospital for five hours before it was loaded into a hearse and taken to Nanyuki Police Station.\u00a0 Police escorted the hearse carrying Yvonne’s body to Nairobi where it was taken to Lee Funeral Home.<\/p>\n
