Muthoni Drummer Queen picked a fight with moral police Ezekiel Mutua following recent moved by Kenya Film and Classification Board (KFCB) to ban films and censor the creative industry.<\/p>\n
Drummer Queen held a talk with industry stakeholders on\u00a0 Saturday the 26th of May\u00a0at Ukweli Caf\u00e9 to discuss KFCB’s mandate.<\/p>\n
“This is not the time to hide behind your apathy talking about \u2018its Kenya\u2019 \u2018nothing changes\u2019 \u2018Ezekiel is a government guy with top level support so we can\u2019t win.\u2019 STOP THAT NONSENSE! That lazy defeatist attitude must go! This battle is for the ones who are doing it for real. Those whose livelihood comes from their creativity. It is not just film that is under siege, it\u2019s all our creative outputs,” Muthoni tweeted.<\/p>\n
The rapper argues that\u00a0Film and stage plays law – Cap 222 has not been updated over years. She claims that\u00a0cap 222 is what Ezekiel Mutua exploits to crush the industry whenever he feels.<\/p>\n
