Nation Media Group journalist Walter Menya was arrested by police on Sunday on allegations that he was soliciting Kes 50,000 bribe from a man named Kiprotich Koros in order to write damaging story on newspaper.<\/p>\n

Walter was yesterday June 20th released unconditionally after spending two days in police custody as detectives failed to provide evidence about the progress of their investigations.<\/p>\n

Walter\u2019s arrest sparked public outcry after it turned out that he had been framed; this was after Jubilee bloggers shared photos of the journalist on social media while he was being held at Directorate of Criminal Investigation (DCI) headquarters where photography is prohibited.<\/p>\n

Jubilee blogger Pauline Njoroge took to Facebook to share a photo of Walter handcuffed while in a car, that was at 12:38pm on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Exactly one hour later, Pauline once again shared a photo of Walter on Facebook, this time round she said the Nation journalist was being held at CID headquarters.<\/p>\n

After he was released, Walter narrated how the arrest was strange. He said that officers who arrested him kept taking pictures of him and appeared to be sending them.<\/p>\n
