Just weeks after Nakuru residents found out they have been eating cat meat which was being used to make some rather delicious samosa, yet another man has been arrested selling a shocking commodity.<\/p>\n
Police have arrested a man who had been selling canned githeri labelled as fish food in Nakuru.<\/p>\n
The man, who was arrested at\u00a0Mawanga Estate, had lied to other traders that the product was flying off the shelves and begged them to invest. Little did they know, James Kariuki\u00a0was luring them into a trap.<\/p>\n
“I saw him sell a 410-gramme tin at Sh11,000 when he visited my stall. I was convinced it was a good business and went ahead to buy 24 cans. What I did not know is that those he was selling the githeri to in my presence were part of his gang,” said\u00a0Samuel Mwangi who lost Sh 201,600 after he was recruited as a broker by the man.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n Peter Njoroge, who runs an M-Pesa shop, lost Sh37,000 from the rouge deal.<\/p>\n “I was not interested until I saw him sell so many cans to his purported clients.
