Dennis Oliech’s career\u00a0got a new lease of life after\u00a0South Africa Premier Soccer League (PSL) side \u2013 Free State Stars\u00a0 invited him over for trials.<\/p>\n

The Kenyan football started training with Free State Stars sometimes in May this year. Oliech had been clubless for years after his contract with\u00a0Dubai DSC ended.<\/p>\n

Oliech won’t be signed by the South African club after all.\u00a0Free State Stars’ coach\u00a0Luc Eymael told Nairobi News that Oliech’s\u00a0potential transfer had been hindered by the strict foreign quota in\u00a0South Africa Premier Soccer League.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0foreign quota rule in\u00a0South Africa Premier Soccer League allows clubs to\u00a0register a maximum seven foreign players in their squad.<\/p>\n

“I lacked an extra spot for foreigners and that is the reason we did not sign a foreign striker,” said\u00a0Luc Eymael.<\/p>\n
