Nairobi Diaries director Janet\u00a0Mwaluda lost her fiance\u00a0Ian Mukuria on Tuesday after he\u00a0succumbed to his illness at the Nairobi Hospital.<\/p>\n

Ian was laid to \u00a0rest yesterday at the Lang\u2019ata Cemetery in a small ceremony attended by family and friends. Ian, who served as the Vice Chair of the USIU-Africa Alumni Association died after a few days in the hospital.<\/p>\n

His burial was attended by celebs such as\u00a0Shaffie Weru, Brian Muiruri among others.\u00a0USIU-Africa Alumni Association first broke the news saying:<\/p>\n

“Dear fellow USIU-Africa Alumni, It is with deep sorrow that we wish to inform you that last evening at 9.45pm, we lost our Vice Chair, Ian Mukuria, who has been critically ill at Nairobi Hospital since Friday last week.<\/em><\/p>\n

As the USIU-Africa Alumni Executive Committee, we wish to convey our deepest condolences to his fianc\u00e9e Janet Mwaluda, all family, friends and colleagues.<\/em><\/p>\n

As a team, we thank God for his life, his contribution, hard work, camaraderie, his warmth & generosity while serving on the Alumni Executive Committee.<\/em><\/p>\n

Please remember his family in this time of loss. May the Lord God rest his soul in eternal peace.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
