Shakeel Shabbir has been battling his baby mama in court for months in a bid to save himself from\u00a0outrageous demands that would have seen him cough hundred of thousands in monthly upkeep.<\/p>\n

The Kisumu East MP was giving his side chic Kes\u00a035,000 monthly upkeep for their\u00a0two and half-year-old son but the woman moved to court seeking a 240,000 monthly upkeep.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker however decided to seek custody of the boy to save himself from paying the woman the Kes\u00a0240,000 monthly upkeep she was demanding.<\/p>\n

On Thursday October 4th,\u00a0Kisumu Senior Resident Magistrate Pauline Mbulika granted the Shabbir custody of the child saving him from the woman’s demands which he termed outrageous.<\/p>\n

The baby mama wanted the court to dismiss the Shabbir’s demand to be granted custody of their son on grounds that the MP lives with his wife and that the kid would\u00a0likely to be neglected and mistreated in such an environment.<\/p>\n

She wanted the court to award her Kes 240,00 monthly upkeep which she claimed was sufficient for her needs; Kes 50,000 for rent, Kes 18,000 for recreation, Kes 30,00 for monthly food supplies, Kes 40,000 for school fees and Kes 10,000 each for the house help\u2019s salary, security, school lunch, school transport and transport, Kes\u00a08,000 for electricity bill, Kes 6,000 for water and Kes 28,000 for medical insurance.<\/p>\n
