The\u00a0inaugural Wasafi Festival was not without drama, Diamond Platnumz was\u00a0mugged of his pure diamond chains worth Kes 1.8 million, Harmonize \u2018reunited\u2019 with his ex Jacqueline Wolper, Diamond main dancer\u00a0Mose Iyobo got arrested and now complaints have been lodged.<\/p>\n

The first concert of Wasafi Festival went down in Mtwara town on Saturday November 24th. All of Wasafi artistes performed at the event, several other musicians not signed to Wasafi also performed.<\/p>\n

Veteran rapper Chid Benz caught a major one after Diamond chose another veteran rapper Dudu Baya to perform at Wasafi Festival whereas he (Chid Benz) was not invited.<\/p>\n

Chid Benz blasted Diamond after he denied him chance to perform at Wasafi Festival. The veteran rapper claims that he was snubbed because his songs have messages while other veteran musicians just sing to entertain without necessarily conveying any message.<\/p>\n

“Sisi wasanii tunaoimba nyimbo ambazo zinabeba ujumbe na maana hatupati nafasi kabisa utasikia wanasema achana na hao wakina Chidi Benz wanakula unga ila Dudu Baya kisa anasema konki konki anajaza watu basi Nasibu (Diamond Platnumz) anampa tour kwenye Wasafi Festival,” said Chid Benz.<\/p>\n
