Research firm –\u00a0Research 8020 carried out a survey to rank Kenya’s most successful musicians based\u00a0on having the most views garnered in 2018.<\/p>\n

The songs’ views were divided into three categories;\u00a0Platinum (a song with over 100 million online views), Gold (10M-99M online views) and Silver (1M-10M views).<\/p>\n

Surprisingly Sauti Sol’s ‘Melanin’ featuring Patoranking, which was banned by KFCB boss Ezekiel Mutua, took the top spot having garnered\u00a012.7 million views.<\/p>\n

Second spot goes to Mercy Masika whose song ‘Mwema’ has 9.9 million views.\u00a0Willy Paul takes the third position with his song ‘I Do’ featuring Alaine which has 8.3 million.<\/p>\n
