Diamond Platnumz’s own biological father Abdul Juma is just a shoe vendor in Tanzania while his son is eating life with a big spoon.<\/p>\n

Speaking during an interview with Mwananchi newspaper, Mzee Abdul revealed that he hoped that his several interviews with the press would help soften his son’s heart and change his attitude towards him. But that has not been the case.<\/p>\n

“Tangu niaze kuhojiwa, nilikuwa nikiamini kuwa ningeweza kubadili msimamo wa mwanangu anayetajwa kuwa msanii tajiri namba moja Tanzania. Badala yake naonekana kama nalilia kusaidiwa na mtoto wangu. Pamoja na kuwa na mtoto maarufu ndani na nje ya nchi, maisha yangu ndio kama hivi unavyoyaona. Naishi Magomeni Kagera na nyumba yangu ya kawaida tu, ambayo naamini hata siku Diamond akikwama kimaisha atakuja kuishi kwa kuwa hapa ni kwao, japokuwa simuombei hilo,” said Abdul Juma.<\/p>\n

Mzee Abdul further revealed that he has developed complication with his legs because of walking over long distances while selling shoes.<\/p>\n

The 52-year-old says that at time he can’t walk over long distance while sometimes the situation gets so bad that he can barely stand on his own.<\/p>\n

“Lakini maisha kwa sasa si mazuri kwa kuwa nasumbuliwa na tatizo la mguu. Inanifanya wakati mwingine nishindwe kutembea muda mrefu. Kama unavyoniona miguu inaniuma na wakati mwingine nashindwa kuinuka hata kitadani,” said Diamond’s father.<\/p>\n

Mzee Abdul pleads for help from well-wishers, he says he can’t afford the cost of medication since he also doesn’t have any health insurance.<\/p>\n

“Labda ningekuwa na bima ya afya ingekuwa msaada kwangu lakini ndio havyo sina.”<\/p>\n
