Africa’s favorite\u00a0music streaming service –\u00a0Boomplay has released a list of top performing Kenyan artistes based on demand for musicians’ songs by fans using the Boomplay’s platform.<\/p>\n

For starters, Boomplay has\u00a0over 38 million users globally. These users can access their favorite songs on Boomplay from wherever they are on this planet.<\/p>\n

Boomplay report shows that 2018 was a good year for Kenyan musicians, this thanks to the fact that\u00a0total music streams rose above 1.1 billion with over 134,000 user-generated playlist globally, an almost 70% increase compared to the previous year 2017.<\/p>\n

Nyashinki leads with most streamed songs<\/h5>\n

Nyashinski emerged as the top Kenyan artiste with his hit songs ‘Malaika’ and ‘Bebi Bebi’ propelling him to the top spot (Kenyan artiste with most streamed songs) whereas Khaligraph\u2019s ‘Testimony 1990’ Album claimed the number one spot for Top Albums of 2018.<\/p>\n

Sauti Sol ft Nyashinski’s ‘Short and Sweet’, Willy Paul’s ‘Malingo’, Bahati’s ‘Ten over Ten’ and Khaligraph’s ‘Rider’ featuring Petra claimed the top four spots respectively\u00a0as \u201cTop Music Videos\u201d in Kenya based on the number of views garnered.<\/p>\n
