She said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are yet to identify the body but she had told me she would meet a friend in town and come home later. She did not turn up,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Her father , Charles Ngumbu, went on to add that the detectives handling the case told them that they are using their daughter&#8217;s body as an exhibit. He said,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe matter is under police investigation and we cannot say much about it. We were not able to view the body for identification because it is under CID pending investigations and we are comfortable with it,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The late Carol&#8217;s sister, Jedida, was however sure that the body was that of her sister as one of her friends who had accompanied her to the mortuary had confirmed that it was indeed Maureen&#8217;s body laying cold at the mortuary.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It must be hard for the family of Mr Ngumbu to come into terms with the fact that their young daughter and sister was murdered by unknown people despite being so young and innocent.
