{"id":94757,"date":"2019-03-13T16:24:50","date_gmt":"2019-03-13T13:24:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.com\/ke\/?p=94757"},"modified":"2019-09-04T09:36:52","modified_gmt":"2019-09-04T06:36:52","slug":"raila-junior","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/raila-junior\/","title":{"rendered":"Raila Junior recalls how much of a struggle it was, to have children."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Raila Junior, Opposition party leader, Raila Odinga\u00b4s son, shared sentiments on how tough it has been for him and his wife, Yvonne Wambui Kibukosya, to have children.<\/p>\n<p>The couple has been in marriage for close to 10 years now, but it has been a struggle for the two to have a family.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8We had been married for a long time and we weren\u00b4t able to get a child in the very first years\u00a8 the 39-year old recalled.<\/p>\n<p>Up and close in a radio interview with Radio Jambo\u00b4s Massawe Jappani, Raila Junior expressed how frustrating it had been for the two, trying to have children but to no avail.<\/p>\n<p>All brought about by pressure from their relatives and friends.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8Yvonne and I were so okay not being able to conceive for those years but the frustrations became unbearable because of pressure from outside.\u00a8<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8I also tried so hard not to subject Yvonne under more pressure because of the situation.\u00a8<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8We struggled for a very long time, for about four, five years, and eventually God blessed us with our firstborn, a son\u00a8 Raila Junior added.<\/p>\n<p>However, after a whooping five years, the two were blessed with a first son.<\/p>\n<p>We are all aware that Raila Junior has been one person known for his steadfast action towards the legalization of bhang in Kenya, probably a campaign that most parents would not advocate for.<\/p>\n<p>He however confirmed and articulated \u00a8I still stand by that\u00a8, in reference to his campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8The legalization I\u00b4m championing is for its medical use like fighting cancer\u00a8 he goes further to clear the air on the issue.<\/p>\n<p>Raila Junior went ahead to give an example of honorable MP Ken Okoth who is currently suffering from cancer and who bhang would help ease the pain.<\/p>\n<p>A number might have had questions about the look on Raila Junior\u00b4s face and mouth, but he explains that he survived a tumor growth during his childhood years that affected the face and mouth, but was successfully removed.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8I suffer from a medical condition. It was a non-cancerous tumor that was in my brain that affected my nerve system since I was young way back in 1985.\u00a8 he recalled.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/03\/raila-wife-and-daughter.jpeg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-94765\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/03\/raila-wife-and-daughter.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"848\" height=\"635\" \/>ODM Opposition party leader, Raila Odinga, with his wife and their daughter, Rosemary Odinga (sitted)<\/a><\/p>\n<p>He was also thankful and glad that his sister, Rosemary Odinga, is also on the path to recovery, after undergoing an operation to remove a brain tumor, thus, partially losing her eyesight.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a8She is not yet 100 percent okay but one day at a time\u00a8.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Raila Junior, Opposition party leader, Raila Odinga\u00b4s son, shared sentiments on how tough it has been for him and his wife, Yvonne Wambui Kibukosya, to have children.
