\u00a8I left the popular show mother-in-law and I was jobless for 2 years. I left the show because I needed to grow\u00a8 Kate explains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
During an interview with Switch TV, she pointed out that she encountered difficulties trying to get new acting gigs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8I started looking for a job but no one could hire me then.\u00a8<\/p>\n\n\n\nCatherine Kamau <\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8Because they thought I was expensive or because I have been on a couple of shows.\u00a8she continued.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The popular actress further explains her husband\u00b4s major role in her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8My husband told me that your comeback has to be your own thing.\u00a8<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Hustling might have been the way to go if at all she looked forward to bounce back on her two feet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8We shot Sue & Johnnie, tried hawking it everywhere but finally got someone who believed in it.\u00a8 she revealed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8He saw something in me and believed in my brand.\u00a8 Kate speaks in reference to her husband.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It was through this hit comedy series, produced by her husband, Phil Karanja, that she returned to the limelight.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8We met on set, started out as friends.\u00a8<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kate then revealed how she later settled down with her longtime friend.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is through her career experiences that Kate cites, she has learnt how to handle trolls and bashing from social media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00a8I have come to understand that being a public figure means that your life is not private anymore\u00a8 she sadly expresses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
