interview with Parents Magazine, the disk jockey guru disclosed that her life was all crumbled up soon after having daughter, Ricca.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I got depressed after giving birth to Ricca.<\/p><p>My current bank account was at zero.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally, she had two young babies to bring up, including her company which had just been born.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And all she could depend on was her savings which at one point would run out anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>My company was young and wasn\u00b4t bringing in any money.<\/p><p>I couldn\u00b4t deejay as much plus I had resigned from a well-paying job.<\/p><p>I started surviving on my savings.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" src=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ke\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2019\/04\/Mskrna-1024x576.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-97538\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, she had just parted ways with her baby daddy before she was made aware of her pregnancy state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It proved hard for her to even contact Ricca\u00b4s father:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I also didn\u00b4t want to call the baby daddy for support.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The worst part is how fast friends took off after her life seemed to be going south.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the Female DJ, family was the only firm and unconditional support she had at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Her situation got so bad, she could no longer afford to pay rent and was therefore forced to move in with her sister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>I lost friends but I thank God for my family who supported me.<\/p><p>Even when I hit rock bottom and during depressive episodes, I kept telling myself that I would rise again.<\/p><p>I thank God for my family and a few friends who stuck by me.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>For Makena, life had showed her the worst, she never thought Ricca would grow to be who she is now, raised single -handedly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\"
