IEBC provisional result for Meru county gubernatorial seat indicates incumbent governor Peter Munya is trailing Jubilee\u2019s Kiraitu Murungi with over 49,000 votes.<\/p>\n

Results from 1437 out of 1473 polling stations indicate Kiraitu is leading with 52.16% which represents 275,623 votes while Munya follows second with 226, 122 votes (42.79%).<\/p>\n

Kiraitu Murungi<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Munya reiterated Raila Odinga\u2019s claims that 2017 general election had been rigged through computerized manipulation of results.<\/p>\n

Raila yesterday rejected IEBC interim results claiming malicious persons gained unauthorized access into IEBC computer system using the late Chris Musando\u2019s (IEBC ICT manager ) login details and manipulated the election results in favor of Jubilee.<\/p>\n

The incumbent Meru governor said he won\u2019t accept IEBC provisional results because they were manipulated. He said the will of the people had been subverted by the rigged election.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are back to the old KANU days where elections were stolen to divert the will of the will of the people,\u201d Peter Munya said.<\/p>\n
