Kenyan Journalists in Line For Coveted CNN Awards. See Who They Are

John Allan Namu of KTN made a name for himself when he scooped the CNN African Journalist of the Year award in South Africa a few years ago and he has still held that title in Kenya up to date.

But another Kenyan journalist could snatch it from him after a host of them were nominated for the awards.

The ceremony that will be held in Tanzania’s capital city Dar-es-Salaam on Saturday will see Kenya battle other Africa states for the coveted awards.

The list of the nominees from Kenya includes the following:

The CNN MultiChoice African Journalist Competition is the most prestigious and respected Award for journalists across the African Continent. Its objective is to reinforce the importance of the role of journalists in Africa’s development and to reward, recognise and encourage journalistic talent across all media disciplines.
