Lwanda Jawar is the man of the moment thanks to his newest gig in Kona where he plays a distressed former boxer named Wanjala.

Lwanda debuted into the acting industry when he as cast in a theatre group up until in 2007.He moved to TV late participating in productions such as Siri and Mnazi Lane. His big break came in a role in ‘The first Grader’ and things kind of fell into place.

The model cum actor has also made a mark in the fashion industry gracing many fashion magazines, bagging the Mr. Kenya crown and coming in second in Africa in his quest to become Mr. World in 2010.

Wanjala, his character in Kona is a troubled man with an ailing child and disinterested woman played by the stunning Torome Sission. He is the son of business magnate Richard Oyange who dies leaving his family in a deplorable condition whose only hope of survival is a boxing gym. A gym that they stand to lose and whose only hope of saving is Wanjala. Wanjala is however unwilling to come in and save the day as his boxing career was not only shattered by a scandal but he also got rejected by the father following the scandal.
