KTN’s Deputy Managing Editor Quits To Take Up Top Press Job in Deputy President’s Office

High talented and soft spoken Emmanuel Talam, has quit his position as the Deputy Managing Editor at KTN to take up a more lucractive position in the Office of The Deputy President. Talam was yesterday appointed as the Deputy Press Secretary in DP William Ruto’s office.

Talam is one of the most experienced TV journalists in Kenya who is widely respected for his loyalty of former employers and respect for his colleagues. Speaking to Jackal News, Talam said that he is an old dog in the media and thought it was wise to leave the newsroom and create room for new media students who have no chance.

A few months ago, Talam returned to KTN after a short stint at the Chinese media house, CCTV, where he was a respected production manager.

Talam will deputize former Nation newspaper correspondent David Mugonyi (pictured below) who was appointed as the Press Secretary in charge of the Deputy President William Ruto’s office.

Congratulations are in order for the two former journalists as they take up their new roles.
