KTN’s One On One With Transgender Woman,Audrey Mbugua

Being Transgender is a new thing in Kenya, leave alone Africa and that is why Audrey Mbugua’s case has been a source of curious interest by the conservative Kenyan community.

Audrey rose to prominence last year as a transgender activist battling the Kenya National Examinations Council for them to change the name on her KCSE certificate from Andrew Mbugua  to Audrey Mbugua.

She resurfaced again this year when the court ordered KNEC to change the name on her KCSE certificate, without marking her gender. As expected, media houses have literally been falling over each other to get an interview with the young woman.KTN recently caught up with her and here is her interview
