We have always known Jaguar had unrivalled access to high offices in the land but I would bet my few coins not many knew about his ability to actually influence government’s decisions.

A while back, Jaguar ignited fire at his job that would later send shockwaves across the nation. The singer threatened to quit his lucrative job at Nacada less action was taken to root out corruption in the alcohol and drugs regulatory body.

At first, Jaguar’s threats sounded like rubber bullets fired from a rusty archaic firearm. But as fate would have it, Interior CS and later the President himself would bulge to Jaguar’s demands.

The war on illicit brew was steamed up and Nacada board was also summoned by Nkaissery to discuss corruption allegations that were crippling it as mentioned by Jaguar.

Enough of that, last Saturday Jaguar held the DP’s hand as he took him for a tour of Nairobi’s informal settlements.

This was without areas’ elected leaders. It’s RARE for the country’s second in command to visit a given area without MPs or even MCAs being present during the tour.

Jaguar took Ruto to Kayaba, Umoja 2, Dandora among other residential areas to witness how common citizens were struggling to put food on their tables and also to give a talk on alcohol and drug abuse.
