Larry Madowo Salutes Biko Zulu For His Viral ‘VISA DENIED’ Article

It has gone viral than anyone could imagine. It has gained fame in Kenya and beyond. Surprisingly, even those who never gave it a second thought were forced to.

Biko Zulu, a blogger and writer, had been denied a visa to the UK. He went on to write a very instrumental article criticising the whole process of visa application and the fact that most Kenyans are denied visas because of very petty issues.

Biko Zulu was later allowed to meet the UK ambassador to Kenya and subsequently his issues were addressed. Through the power of the pen, he had won a difficult battle. And Larry Madowo has saluted Biko for his bravery to face facts as they are.

In his article in the Daily Nation, Madowo feels Biko took the initiative to speak on behalf of a million Kenyans who find it difficult to acquire visas because of the stringent steps involved in the process.

He narrates how he was denied a visa himself back in 2008 because he was single and had no enough assets that could land him in the UK.
