Legendary Jazz musician Dorothy Masuka dies

Veteran Jazz musician Dorothy Masuka has passed on at the age of 83.

The songstress was popular in Africa in the mid-1900s

She was born in Zimbabwe and has left a mark all over Africa

Arts and Culture Minister Nathi Mthethwa confirmed Masuka’s death in a tribute post on Twitter on Saturday night.

A baobab tree has fallen with the passing of a one of a kind Musician, the legendary Mama Dorothy Masuka. Her music was the soundtrack of some of our most joyful moments & the light of our souls during our darkest hours. Lala ngoxolo Mama wethu.
