List; Activities to Expect at #MtandaoFestival
For the first time in Kenya’s entertainment history, Kenya will be holding a social media event, all big-wigs and non big wigs will be present! The event is called ‘Mtandao Festival’, it targets everyone who has a social media account, and let’s not kid ourselves, we all have an account in one platform or the next. The event strives to bring each one of us to mingle offline,with loads of fun activities to be done,a lot of music of all genres, food and of course booze, what’s an event with no booze?
Just remembered there will be speed dating, looking forward to that! (smiley face), wah! These movies have spoiled me! With no apparent explanation, speed dating thrills me, if for nothing else I’ll be there for speed-dating, all spruced up looking hot and sexy and ready to sit and interact with numerous number of men. Speed-dating is basically a formalized matchmaking process or dating system which encourages you to interact with a large number of new people (men &women), the good thing about it is, it’s time-efficient, which ensures you don’t have to be stuck with a boorish match for very long. If you like each other, you can pick up the conversation where you left it off after your session is done.
Enough of my fantasy. Slowly it started but has now mushroomed up to be the main lucrative platform to advertise. Not too long did we have to wait for even our parents to turn to social media to advertise and even have accounts on Fb, WhatsApp…you name it.
Now the organizers of the much anticipated July event plan to bring the online world to life. To gather all of you beautiful people to an event that will have awesome entertainment, a football banter section for all football fans to gather and represent their teams, speed networking a fashion show which will a major part of the Mtandao Festival Franchise and will target budding local fashion designers. On top of all this, there will be a business expo, which is a new idea in social events. So dear corporate companies, here’s a chance to showcase your products in the business expo and try to reach your online clientele face to face. It will be an event for meeting up, socializing and networking.

Mtandao Festival will held at Impala Grounds on the 11th of July, 2015. From 10am till late. (please carry something warm,it gets chilly at Impala)
Now the MC will be Shaniqwa, the socialite that’s giving the ‘old’ socialites in the trade some serious compe!
