Maranga Darling, A Famous Entertainer, Dies (UPDATED)

A pioneer of the dance industry in Kenya, a panelist at the Artistes’ Breakfast and TV producer, Maranga Darling, has met a short and untimely demise on this night. He was famous for his work as a TV producer(Editor, Audio & Final Mix Engineer) at Protel Studios, where he worked on popular shows such as “99 Degrees” and “Get Lifted.”

Those in the gospel industry, where his influence was strongest felt, have poured out their condolences on social media.

According to reliable sources in the gospel music industry and our fellow media colleagues:

– The last event Maranga attended was Peter Kenneth’s grand launch on Sunday.

– He left the venue(KICC) at 8pm and after that no one from Protel could reach him.

– Maranga did not report to work on Monday and Tuesday, so his colleagues went to check up on him at home.

– Today at 3, the caretaker smelling a foul stench from the house, decided to get in using spare keys only to find Maranga’s lifeless body lying on the bed, partially decomposed.

– The caretaker called the landlord. They managed to trace Maranga’s father’s phone number and they called him.

– The dad then called Protel Studios and this evening his body has been taken to the morgue.

We don’t know what the reason for his death is, but we’ll ascertain it soon. As for now, we would like to refrain from any speculation as to the cause of death, and we urge our readers to do the same.
