Meet The African Designer Whose Clothes Were Featured on Beyonce’s New Video ‘Formation’

Beyonce’s new video has caught the world by storm due to her implicit and explicit commentary on #blacklivesmatter, hurricane Katrina, black empowerment among other issues that affect the black community .

To show that she walks the talk, Beyonce even featured designs from Loza Maléombho’s 2016 Spring Summer Collection.

Loza  was born in Brazil but was raised in Côte d’Ivoire and the United States but permanently relocated to Côte d’Ivoire where she runs her thriving fashion line.

Despite learning her craft in New York and working with feted designers, Loza decided to produce her clothing in Côte d’Ivoire, so as empower women by hiring those from harsh backgrounds to work for her.
