Minnie Dlamini speaks on the IDC funding backlash

Minnie Dlamini was forced to defend herself after people criticized her for being given 10 million by the IDC.

In an Interview with Destiny Magazine, she said the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) had granted her R10 million in start-up costs for her company.

The article sparked outrage among entrepreneurs who often struggle to get funding. They seemed to be of the belief that Dlamini was given the funds (and not a loan) because of her celebrity status.

Well Minnie was forced to retract her initial statement stating that she was indeed offered a loan
