Abuja Village where Killing of Twins is Practiced because &#8220;they are Evil&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>There exists a village in Abuja where twins are killed because they are presumed evil.<\/h3>\n<p>It is absolutely shocking to realize that the killing of twins in Nigeria is not totally a thing of the past.<\/p>\n<p>Though one will make the hasty mistake of thinking\/saying that killing of twins have been abolished in the country, a village in Abuja where twins are still murdered has been discovered.<\/p>\n<p>This discovery was made recently by Nkwasi Obim Nebo, a maternal health advocate and humanitarian worker. Nkwasi who took to Facebook to narrate the story stated that she led a team of PeachAid Medical Initiative medical doctors to the village of Kaida in Gwagwalada on the outskirts of Abuja.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-273490 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.informationng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/abuja-village-where-twins-are-killed-by-hanging-because-they-are-evil-1.jpg\" alt=\"Killing of Twins\" width=\"497\" height=\"330\" \/><\/p>\n<p>According to her, they arrived the village shortly before a set of twins were to be killed. The mother of the twins was said to have ran up to her to seek help. The twins were her fourth set of twins.<\/p>\n<p>She wrote;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>As soon as we arrived the community, this woman immediately handed us her newly-born twin babies, asking us to take them away; they were only 2days old.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em> asked her why she was giving up on her kids, she replied and said they will be killed in few days from today if still with her. She heard we were coming and came out just to give us the babies!<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This is her 4th pregnancy, and her 4th set of twins also! Oh yes! You heard me right! Twins are considered as evil in this community since time immemorial, and are killed (hanged) on the third day after delivery.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The health worker and her team had visited the village earlier to distribute some health materials to them.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There exists a village in Abuja where twins are killed because they are presumed evil.
