She received this honour at the 73rd UN General Assembly in New York.<\/p>\n<h3>Omotola Jolade honoured for UN&#8217;s IDPAD.<\/h3>\n<p>The award honours distinguished personalities from 50 different countries in the continent. It is however in support of the\u00a0United Nations International Decade for People of African Descent (IDPAD) 2015 \u2013 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Taking to her social media page, the actress appreciated the award with the caption:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.informationng.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/10\/omotola-gets-honoured-by-the-un-as-one-of-the-most-influential-people-from-african-1.bmp\" \/><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>Honoured to be one of the Most Influential 100 People of African Descent at the United Nations by @mipad100<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Recall that she was once named among the 100 Most Influential People in the World.
