Ex beauty queen, Dabota Lawson, has given some tips on how to get over a cheating partner. This was in a long note, posted on her Instagram page, to address the issue of cheating in relationships.<\/p>\n

According to her, being cheated on is an awful feeling. The way one handles it, however, gives tone to a person’s recovery process. She therefore highlights some points to consider when one wants to get past a cheating episode.<\/p>\n

Dabota Lawson explains how to get over a cheating partner.<\/h3>\n

The ex beauty queen however, noted that there are no right answers to questions, when a person’s partner cheats. It is okay to not forgive, she concluded.<\/p>\n

Her words below;<\/p>\n

Being cheated on is an awful feeling, but how you handle it can have a big part in your recovery process. Whether you try to rebuild the relationship or you decide to end things.<\/em><\/p>\n

Here are some ways you can deal with the SITUATION;
\n1 Decide if you want to re-establish trust.<\/p>\n

You may also need to ask yourself these questions \u2022 Is your partner truly sorry? \u2022 Has this sort of behavior happened before, or has he or she promised to not do it, and it has continued or gotten worse? \u2022 Is your partner willing to take steps to mend the relationship such as counseling. \u2022 Do you truly feel you want to trust this person again? There is no right or wrong answer for this. This is entirely up to the person who has been cheated on.<\/em><\/p>\n

It\u2019s also important to Understand the nature of your partner\u2019s cheating. People cheat for many different reasons and it is not always about sex. Sometimes people cheat because they are seeking an emotional connection<\/em><\/p>\n

Request that your partner cut off all communication with the third party.<\/em>
\nIf your partner is unwilling to cut off contact with the third party, it may be a sign that they are unwilling to stop cheating. In this case, you may not be able to repair the relationship.<\/em><\/p>\n

Forgive on your own terms. Your partner may be extremely apologetic and desperate for you to say that you forgive them, right then and there. But true forgiveness and healing will likely take time.<\/em><\/p>\n

Lastly , It is OK to not forgive. Cheating is a deep wound, and sometimes is fatal to a relationship. How did you deal with a cheating partner ?\u201d.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n
