This is to clear the air on the incidence which involved fellow singer, Burna Boy and to make clear his stands.<\/p>\n<p>In case you haven&#8217;t been following the full gist, you can catch up <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ng\/mr-2kay-robbed\/\">here<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ghafla.co.ke\/ng\/burnaboy-invited-police-connection-mr-2kays-gunpoint-rubbery-eko-hotels\/\">here<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3>His Statement below:<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><em>We would like to use this medium to appreciate Mr. 2Kay\u2019s fans for all their support and messages when he was attacked on Sunday, October 22, 2017, at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos where he performed at Buckwyld &amp; Breathless, organized by Buckwyld Media. Like you may already know, Mr. 2Kay was attacked in his hotel room at gun point by four men who pretended to be the hotel\u2019s room service attendants.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Mr. 2Kay was brutalized and robbed of his belongings. The robbers also took Mr. 2Kay\u2019s friend\u2019s items who was also in the room when the robbers gained entrance.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The management of Eko Hotel reported the incident to the Bar Beach Police station and an investigation file was opened immediately. After taking statements from Mr. 2Kay\u2019s team, his road manager, Samuel Michael was detained for allowing Burna Boy\u2019s manager, Joel Kantiok to follow him to Mr. 2Kay\u2019s room after 2Kay\u2019s performance that evening.\u00a0 Mr 2kay\u2019s road manager was later cleared by the Police after interogation.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>In less than 48hrs, we were told the Commissioner of Police, Edgal Imohimi had requested for the case file as the case was transferred to Federal SARS Headquarters in Ikeja. In the course of their investigation, the Police arrested 3 boys who confessed that they were contracted to deal with Mr. 2Kay.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>According to the commissioner, the robbers confessed that Joel Kantiok informed them of Mr. 2Kay\u2019s room 0847 where they assaulted Mr. 2Kay. The robbers said they were paid by Burna Boy to \u201cTeach Mr. 2Kay a lesson,\u201d hence the Police declared Burna Boy wanted.<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>He went further to say;<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p><em>As lawful representatives of Mr. 2Kay, Grafton Entertainment would love to use this opportunity to clarify some of the information that have been going round in recent time.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"img-responsive text-center\" src=\"https:\/\/ci6.googleusercontent.com\/proxy\/RnNZfQn2o2xpggJQqefCOervMbPIci5mujDPJnvl43kv6Rtxjyh5gHN_JKVzeU-aaGz3pePFgxfoAAtZJZNx8mveVTc-11j98EfuAJVcumUenA=s0-d-e1-ft#https:\/\/ssl.gstatic.com\/ui\/v1\/icons\/mail\/images\/cleardot.gif\" alt=\"Mr 2kay\" \/>1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Mr. 2Kay has not made any comment regarding the details of his attack at Eko Hotel on Sunday October 22, 2017.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Any other statement, quotes or opinion by anybody outside this official statement by Grafton Entertainment is invalid and inconsequential.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Grafton Entertainment through our lawyers and the management of Eko Hotel are in talks regarding the incident that took place in one of their rooms.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Our going to court is dependent on the outcome of the talks between our lawyers and Eko Hotel. The public will know if we get to that point.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0Any further information about this case should be addressed to the Police as Grafton Entertainment did not conduct or influence Police investigation in any way.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>6.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0This case about the robbery and assault with the police is a criminal case and not a civil case<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Once again we thank the general public for their concern and well wishes.
