“Producers can’t afford what I want to earn.”<\/h3>\n

Nollywood actor, model and winner, Big Brother Africa; All Stars, Uti Nwachukwu has spoken up on why he hasn’t hit the silver screen lately. In an interview with Punch, the singer said he stopped acting because it doesn’t pay. According to him, acting does not pay and he can’t pretend about it.<\/p>\n

He is now into hosting shows and events and will only take acting as a hubby, he said. He is also going to select the movies he will feature in as it is not all producers that can afford him.<\/p>\n

His words below…<\/p>\n

\u201cI haven\u2019t been in the country, but I am back now. I took a break from acting because it doesn\u2019t pay much and I am not ready for that kind of life. I don\u2019t want to pretend about it; so, I am only focusing on what brings greater remuneration, which is television presenting and hosting of events.<\/em><\/p>\n

\u201cActing would just be a hobby because honestly, producers can\u2019t afford to pay what I want to earn. But I will not stay away from movies totally; I will pick only exceptional movies instead of featuring in all the ones I am invited to partake in. I don\u2019t have so much time for little money. I am not here to pretend all is well. I am in the industry to make money; I am not in the industry to play.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On Marriage, he said;<\/h3>\n

I will marry at the right time and marriage is not a competition. Once I find the right person, nothing will prevent me from getting married. I am an adult and my parents are educated.
