As marriages are held everyday, so are they broken every day too. Marriage ought to be everlasting but the opposite is the case in recent times. Dissolved marriages could be another stepping stone into people’s life or might be a setback. Toke Makinwa is officially divorced to her estranged husband, Maje Ayida.<\/p>\n

Toke Makinwa married Maje Ayida in the year 2014 and a year after that the marriage crashed. The news appeared as rumors and speculations at first until Toke Makinwa confirmed it. In 2016, Toke launched a book narrating her relationship experience with Maje. The book titled “On Becoming” was highly received by Nigerians.\u00a0 Dbanj gave her a sum of One Million Naira at the official lunch of the book. On Becoming<\/em>\u00a0narrated Maje’s adultery life during their many years of courtship and their few years of marriage. This and mistreatment are all what led Toke Makinwa to file for a divorce.<\/p>\n

Now the court finally dissolved the marriage yesterday 5th of October 2017 at Igbosere high court according to report. The Judge ruled that Maje did not provide enough evidence that could beat Toke’s adequate evidence.<\/p>\n

She said: \u201cI hold that the marriage has broken down on grounds of intolerable behaviour. I hereby pronounce a \u2018Decree Nisi\u2019 dissolving the marriage between Makinwa and Ayida which was administered at the federal marriage registry, Ikoyi, Lagos, on January 15, 2014. The order Nisi shall become absolute three months from today unless within that period sufficient cause is shown why it should not be made absolute.\u201d<\/p>\n
