P Unit Distances Themselves From An Event They Were ‘Purportedly’ Set To Headline
Once again the credibility of Kenyan promoters is in question as boy group P Unit has just issued a statement clarifying that they will not be performing at a Coast-based event. This is after the promoter of the Nzumari Pre-Party gig used the group’s photo on his poster insinuating that P Unit will be at the event.
Shock on him, because P Unit came across the poster doing rounds online and that’s when they decided to clear the air about the event set to take place Friday at Club Lambada in Mombasa.
“P UNIT WISHES TO CONFIRM THAT WE HAVE NOT BEEN ENGANGED FOR THIS EVENT,” read the message on P Unit’s official page.
A section of unscrupulous Coast-based promoters have in the past used this ‘trick’ to pull crowd to their events only for revelers to receive the rude shock when the artists on the poster do not turn up for the event. Among the artists fetaured in the poster include P Unit, who have already distanced themselves from the event, Amileena, Octopizzo and Eve D’Souza from Nairobi while Coast-based artists include Majid, Sudi Boy and Dogo Ritchie.
Here’s the poster;

Maybe, just maybe, the rest of the artists have not been notified about the event as well. Its’s a wait-and-see situation for now…
