Pastor Victor Kanyari Shows Off His Mother’s Church, Claims It No Longer Takes ‘Sadaka’, Now Feeds the Needy

Controversial Nairobi preacher Pastor Victor Kanyari has given Kenyans a rare look inside his mother’s ministry, Prophetess Lucy Nduta’s church, located in Malaa, Machakos County.

During a recent visit, Kanyari revealed a major shift in the ministry’s operations, announcing that the church has stopped asking congregants for financial offerings. Instead, the ministry has pivoted its focus toward charity and supporting vulnerable members of society.

A Pivot to Philanthropy

In a video shared online, Kanyari proudly toured the church grounds, praising his mother’s dedication to community service. He explained that the days of asking for money from the congregation are over, noting that past contributions are now fueling their current charity work.

“My mother is a pastor, and she has built a church at her home. But behind the church, people are being fed,” Kanyari explained. “If you come here and you don’t have food, I told my mother to stop asking for offerings. These days, we don’t ask for offerings anymore. The offerings you gave us in the past were enough.”

Open Doors for the Vulnerable

The preacher emphasized that the church has transformed into a sanctuary for the less fortunate, promising that no visitor will be turned away hungry or homeless.

• Hospitality: Visitors are welcomed with tea and bread to ensure nobody goes to sleep hungry.

• Shelter: Kanyari noted that the compound is open to anyone who lacks a place to stay, stating, “My mother has held nothing back.”

Beyond the humanitarian efforts, Kanyari also showcased the church’s impressive interior, highlighting its pristine cleanliness and elegant décor.

“This is the church, and you can see what it looks like,” he noted while touring the sanctuary. “You can tell that my mother loves cleanliness very much. That’s why everything is clean everywhere you look.”
