Popular singer Ed Sheeran is engaged

Ed Sheeran shared news of his engagement on social media. He added, “our cats are chuffed as well.” He is engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Cherry Seaborn.

Sheeran posted a photo of them together and said: “Got myself a fiancé just before new year. We are very happy and in love, and our cats are chuffed as well xx.”

The two have been dating since 2015, when Cherry helped him recover from his bicycle accident.

Sheeran and Cherry were childhood friends before that.

The couple is rarely photographed together, as they keep their relationship private.

Last fall, Sheeran said that Cherry had inspired his song Perfect.
