A message that was relayed via Instagram by their Marketing &Communications Consultant at KAMP&PRISK DNG who wrote that “#PRISK has ensured that Veteran Kenyan Comedian the late #MzeeOjwang is given a dignified send-off. The late #Vitimbi actor will benefit from the 50k Death Benefit allocation given to all members to cater for their funeral arrangements. #PayForPlay cc: @PRISKKenya “
But Kenyans felt that Ojwang’ deserved more writing comments such as these:
shiro_nyaga 50k? Tsk tsk tsk
miss_wanjirumungai 50k really?
nina_lush 50k????? Wat the hell is 50k i cant even deal with this…..n yet rush to do mediocre jobs on our roada for obama…smh priorities
barigold_ Lol 50k
xomoboss 50k. Hailipi hata one semester hio… Kenya sucks
djkrowbar I would actually be offended if I was Ojwang’s family. #SMH
chugu_kanyugo What a pitty! Is that fee for the morgue, casket or transport for funeral expenses?
But DNG was quick to explain why Mzee Ojwang would be getting the 50 K “It is very interesting to see such comments that the amount is little. This is a contribution by PRISK as part of Death Benefit. We are part of the solution and from our stand point, it is better to have something than nothing. “
Before explaining further by saying that the new scheme by PRISK gives its members 200,000 for inpatient, 20,000 maternity and 50,000 as death benefits. And this scheme would cost members 2,000 Kshs per year.”
