Bonnie Mbuli denies throwing shade to Bonang

Bonnie Mbuli has defended herself after making a joke about Bonang Matheba’s “Girls with Vineyards” saga.

“….I’ve always wanted a vineyard…” she captioned the image.

Bonang former MUA finally get paid, but not by Bonang

After over six months of waiting and being given the run-around, Bonang Matheba’s former make-up artist, Muzi Zuma’s prayers have been answered and he’s been paid the R25,000 that was owed to him.

As reported by TshisaLIVE on Wednesday, Muzi was contracted to do Bonang’s make-up for the KFC Taste Kitchen show, which was 24 days long. He was promised payment at the end of the shoot in July last year but until yesterday, was still out of pocket and in debt.

Since the spotlight was cast on Muzi’s situation many fingers have been pointed as to who was responsible for the payment. Bonang’s new pr company, Celebrity Services Africa said the claims was “news” to them, however TshisaLIVE is in possession of a WhatsApp conversation between a CSA account manager and Muzi, where he was asked to do her make-up and declined because of the money owing to him.

CSA director, Davin Phillips, reiterated that it had no knowledge of the bill, and later claimed to be “looking at the payment” that was debited from Bonang’s account to Muzi.

Bonang’s former pr company said if the expense was procured by B, she had to settle it directly.

After the back and forth, owner of DNA Brand Architects (B’s former pr company),  Sylvester Chauke decided to pay Muzi out of his own pocket.

“I have decided to settle Muzi’s outstanding cost. I have utmost respect for Muzi and his work and through DNA, we have done some great work. With this back and forth, at the core, is a young man who is trying to build and grow his business and I thought it important to settle the matter on his behalf.

“Moreover, as a fellow black entrepreneur, I hate seeing us having to struggle to be remunerated for services that we render and ill-treat each other sometimes. This is not how we should do business. We should grow each other instead,” he told TshisaLIVE.

Muzi could not contain his emotions when Sylvester made the payment. He told TshisaLIVE that it was an answer to his prayers.

“My prayers were answered through Sylvester, because I know Bonang was going to ignore it and wait for it to sizzle down and still not make contact. I had accepted that I’d never get it. I was with my mom when Sylvester called and we both burst into tears. What he did was selfless. It’s (Bonang) no longer his client. I’ve also placed no blame on DNA but he knows the journey, he knows my heart and I think he felt my pain and thus rescued me.”

Bonang feud with Muzi Duma over unpaid bill

After make-up artist Muzi Zuma accused Bonang Matheba of ‘dodging’ a R25K bill for over six months, many fingers have been pointed.

From Bonang owing the money, to her current management company pinning the blame on her old pr company, the only loser is Muzi, who still hasn’t been paid.

TshisaLIVE his mom is now in debt as a result caught up with Muzi so that he could share his side of the story.

Muzi cast the spotlight on the issue this week in a Twitter Q&A after a follower asked if he was still doing B’s make-up.

Muzi, who has worked with Bonang for four years, said he was not on good terms with the TV and radio personality as he had not been paid for a job from July 2017.

He told TshisaLIVE he signed a contract with Bonang to do her make-up for the duration of the KFC Taste Kitchen show, which was 24 days long.

Muzi said that he was promised payment of R25,000 once the shoot ended on July 5 last year.

“I contacted Bonang on numerous occasions to find out when I would get my payment and I was told that she did not receive payment from KFC and that she would be paid by September 30. So I waited until then. But September passed, November passed and December passed.”

Muzi said that a string of WhatsApp messages and emails have gone unanswered since then and he’s just been given the run-around.

“The reason I have kept quiet for this long is because I am not here to air anyone’s dirty laundry on social media. For four years I have done Bonang’s make-up and I have not put a foot wrong, but it is just frustrating that they are taking advantage of me.”

Muzi claimed that he was also promised food and accommodation for the duration of the shoot, but that never happened.

“Bonang told me that I would be fed and have a place to sleep because I was here for her convenience, but when I came to Joburg, I had to sort myself out. I used my mom’s credit card to cover those costs knowing that I would be able to pay the debt off.”

Muzi said he was angry and frustrated by the level of respect that has been shown to him.

When contacted for comment, Celebrity Services Africa, Bonang’s new pr company, said it had no knowledge of the unpaid bill.

However, TshisaLIVE is in possession of a WhatsApp conversation between a CSA account manager and Muzi, where he was asked to do her make-up and declined because of the money owing to him.

CSA director, Davin Phillips, reiterated that it had no knowledge of the bill, and later claimed to be “looking at the payment” that was debited from Bonang’s account to Muzi.

“Muzi Zuma’s claim is news to us as this expense has already been charged to Ms Matheba by her previous management company, who then should have paid Ms Zuma. Let it be recorded that we have yet to be contacted by Ms Zuma, which we find surprising, considering the claims being made on Twitter.”

TshisaLIVE contacted DNA Brand Architects’ Sylvester Chauke, who said that any expenses procured by Bonang should be settled directly by her.

“This has been our modus operandi for five years. Hence Muzi is engaging Bonang directly and not through DNA as he understands that too,” he said.

CSA later said the amount had been paid to DNA and it was their responsibility to pay.

Muzi, meanwhile, remains out of pocket. As does his mother, whose card he borrowed to cover his expenses.

Whats Minnie and Bonang relationship like

Minnie Dlamini and Bonang Matheba relationship is still not clear as to whether they are friends or not.

The TV personalities are often compared to each other, and they reportedly compete for the same endorsement deals and industry positions.

Minnie and Bonang have both denied that are beefing, but their behaviour might suggest otherwise.

Bonang was accused of stealing Minnie’s spotlight in July when she changed the date of her 30th birthday party to the day of her alleged nemesis’ umembeso.

Here’s a look at the alleged beef between the two stars, and how it all started,

The beginning

Bonang and Minnie’s feud reportedly began when they both worked as presenters on SABC 1’s music show, LIVE (now Live AMP). Minnie won the show’s presenter search, and made her debut in 2010.

Everyone was curious about the Durban beauty, who held her own on the same show as Queen B. Then rumours started to swirl that Bonang was not impressed with all the attention the new kid on the block was getting. But Queen B has always maintained that was not the case.

Bonang and Minnie cool?

Bonang told Drum magazine in 2015 that she was not competing with Minnie, and had no beef with the ‘It Girl’. “I have no idea where the perceived beef rumours started. Minnie and I are cool. We’re friends,” she told the publication.

Not friends

Despite their denials, rumours of a feud persisted, and Minnie tried to set the record straight in an interview with Grazia magazine in 2015.

“I want people to know that I don’t like talking about other personalities in the industry. That being said, Bonang and I are one hundred percent not friends. However, we’re not enemies either and I respect her as a colleague,” she told the magazine.

Did Bonang sabotage Minnie’s wedding day?

Bonang was accused of trying to steal Minnie’s shine when she threw her 30th birthday bash on the same day as Minnie’s traditional wedding.

However B maintained that this was not the case, and merely a coincidence.

“I have been in the industry for 13 years. It is water off a duck’s back. I am not worried about what people say. They will always talk about me because of who I am. As one of the biggest personalities in the country, if I throw a party, people care,” she told Tshisa Live.

Don’t follow her

A few months after Bonang was accused of stealing Minnie Dlamini’s traditional wedding spotlight, Minnie threw some major shade at the TV personality. When Jacaranda FM DJ Martin Bester asked her if she insta-stalked Bonang, she answered with a very firm no. “I don’t even follow her,” she admitted.
