In an Interview with The Juice Oskido opened up about being a single dad and how he balances hard work and family

He started by revealing he has two nannies that help him with the kids.

It’s not easy being a single father, he says, and he hasn’t been the perfect dad either.

“Being a single dad is difficult because of my busy schedule. My children look up to me and I’ve made a lot of mistakes with them watching but as they grow I’ve learnt to speak to them about everything.”

Being a father requires on-the-job learning. And even though his eldest is a man now, Oskido says he still needs to do a lotto perfect his fathering skills. “I see a lot of myself in Bass. He has the same drive and ambition as me and a passion for music,” he says. He tries to nurture the talents of all his kids and enjoys spending time with them when he does school drop-offs and takes them shopping.

“I want my children to be proud of me. I want them to say, ‘That’s my man’ even when they get into relationships with men.”

 

Oskido took to Instagram to reveal  he had bought an apartment with an ocean view in Durban.

“It’s Durban July, some of us came here to work. We didn’t come here to drink champagne…we came here to collect so we can do this,” he tweeted.

He also revealed the Money used to buy the Apartement was the money he received from his weekend gigs.

DJ Zinhle has been ‘homeless’ for quite some time. She recently got a house and legendary house DJ Oskido took the time to congratulate her.

In the video, Oskido teases DJ Zinhle saying: “You were homeless, you were homeless. Come you must admit.”

It seems that the homelessness was worth the wait. The DJ and her daughter Kairo can now move in.
