The family of the late Avicii have released their plans for his funeral. This, they said through a statement that was released on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
In it, they say that the funeral will include people who were closest to Avicii. They asked the media to respect their decision.<\/p>\n
No more information about the funeral will be made public.<\/p>\n
\u201cThere have been many inquiries regarding the funeral arrangements for Tim Bergling, known by music fans as Avicii,\u201d the statement reads. \u201cThe Bergling family has now confirmed that the funeral will be private, in the presence of the people who were closest to Tim. They kindly ask media to respect this. There is no additional information forthcoming.\u201d<\/p>\n
Avicii was found dead last month in what is said to have been a suicide attempt. He had in the past suffered acute pancreatitis, in part due to excessive drinking. After having his gallbladder and appendix removed in 2014, he canceled a series of shows in attempt to recover.<\/p>\n
A statement issued late last month by the family seemingly confirms that Berling took his own life.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur beloved Tim was a seeker, a fragile artistic soul searching for answers to existential questions,\u201d it reads. \u201cAn over-achieving perfectionist who travelled and worked hard at a pace that led to extreme stress.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen he stopped touring, he wanted to find a balance in life to be happy and be able to do what he loved most \u2013 music. He really struggled with thoughts about Meaning, Life, Happiness, and could not go on any longer. He wanted to find peace.<\/p>\n
\u201cTim was not made for the business machine he found himself in; he was a sensitive guy who loved his fans but shunned the spotlight.<\/p>\n
\u201cTim, you will forever be loved and sadly missed. The person you were and your music will keep your memory alive.<\/p>\n
