This was during SABC&#8217;s <i>Trending SA. <\/i><\/p>\n<p>Since laying a case against him in 2017, the two have been in and out of court.<\/p>\n<p>CiCi did not want to delve into detail about what really happened, but she did confirm that the incident happened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot speak about what really happened because the case is on trial and so I don\u2019t want to take away from the merits of the case,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Adding: &#8220;But yes, the incident did happen. Yes, I did break my pelvic. I underwent four-hour surgery just to have that replaced, and physical therapy, and seeing someone professional right now.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>When asked how she was coping, CiCi became emotional. \u201cI\u2019m healing, but it\u2019s a bit difficult because you have to go to court, and it\u2019s like a back and forth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She decided to tell her story because she felt that it was her responsibility to be an example for the people who look up to her.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI remember coming out and people were like: \u2018Aren\u2019t you scared, cause you\u2019re a celebrity\u2019 and I was like: \u2018Before I am a celebrity I\u2019m actually human\u2019. The people who actually follow my music need to understand that we are human and we experience the same things that they go through. And I would not have done justice to the young people and women especially to not come out and speak about this, because they listen to my music, and what kind of example do I then set if I protect the perpetrator.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>CiCi opened up about her legal between with ex-boyfriend Arthur Mafokate.
