Media personality Maps Maponyane recently took to Twitter to share some of the valuable lessons he has learned from a failed business venture.<\/p>\n
In a series of tweets, he shared his heartbreak over his failed business established four years ago, using his savings.<\/p>\n
\u201c4 years ago I had taken all my savings & backed what I thought to have been a brilliant business idea,\u201d Maps wrote in a tweet.<\/p>\n
\u201cA great team was built around it, & I continued to put whatever I could into to just give it a fair chance, even if investors weren’t going to. This week we had to close it.\u201d<\/p>\n
He even tried to revive the business several times.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt was on the brink of death numerous times and just kept resuscitating it with every chance we could. Promises being made, and not being kept,\u201d Maps wrote.<\/p>\n
\u201cWaiting on people to pull through for you to survive. And making a plan to cut everything else to keep it alive in any way possible…\u201d<\/p>\n
After every option was exhausted, the business failed.<\/p>\n
\u201cBy then the frustration is too much. You’ve done everything you can, and you just have to close your eyes and let go.\u201d<\/p>\n
From it all, Maps took home some lessons.<\/p>\n
\u201cSo many invaluable lessons learned from it and a reminder of the level of risk that comes with it all.<\/p>\n
\u201cDust off and now to do better in the next one, there’s always the next one, and now you’re that much better prepared for it.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
