In a recent thread on social media, Khanya Mkangisa opened up about her superwoman. She talked about how her mother has been supportive since she started out in the entertainment industry.<\/p>\n

“Mothers are truly God’s greatest gift,” read her first tweet.<\/p>\n

Khanya’s mother decided that they move to Johannesburg because she wanted a better life for her daughter. This is despite the fact that she was working on a nurse’s salary, and had to grapple with the high cost of living in the city.<\/p>\n

“<\/i>Did I mention how she raised me alone, on a nurse\u2019s salary and how she one day decided we were moving to Johannesburg because she wanted a better life for us? She still remains my number 1 fan. Hearing her tell me she\u2019s proud of me truly warms my heart. I am so thankful for her.”<\/p>\n

Her mother has always been supportive of her, sacrificing sleep to get her on set early when she was still a YoTV presenter.<\/p>\n

“My mom has always been so supportive of me and my career. She used to pick me up from school and drive me to auditions. When I booked Yotv\u2019s Big Yo, on Saturday mornings she\u2019d drive me to studio at 6am in the morning. She never once complained. She didn\u2019t have to do any of this.”<\/p>\n
